بِسْمِ اللَّهِ الرَّحْمَنِ الرَّحِيمِ
سَأَلَ سَائِلٌ بِعَذَابٍ وَاقِعٍ (1) لِلْكَافِرِينَ لَيْسَ لَهُ دَافِعٌ (2) مِنَ اللَّهِ ذِي الْمَعَارِجِ (3) تَعْرُجُ الْمَلَائِكَةُ وَالرُّوحُ إِلَيْهِ فِي يَوْمٍ كَانَ مِقْدَارُهُ خَمْسِينَ أَلْفَ سَنَةٍ (4) فَاصْبِرْ صَبْرًا جَمِيلًا (5) إِنَّهُمْ يَرَوْنَهُ بَعِيدًا (6) وَنَرَاهُ قَرِيبًا (7) يَوْمَ تَكُونُ السَّمَاءُ كَالْمُهْلِ (8) وَتَكُونُ الْجِبَالُ كَالْعِهْنِ (9) وَلَا يَسْأَلُ حَمِيمٌ حَمِيمًا (10) يُبَصَّرُونَهُمْ يَوَدُّ الْمُجْرِمُ لَوْ يَفْتَدِي مِنْ عَذَابِ يَوْمِئِذٍ بِبَنِيهِ (11) وَصَاحِبَتِهِ وَأَخِيهِ (12) وَفَصِيلَتِهِ الَّتِي تُؤْوِيهِ (13) وَمَنْ فِي الْأَرْضِ جَمِيعًا ثُمَّ يُنْجِيهِ (14) كَلَّا إِنَّهَا لَظَى (15) نَزَّاعَةً لِلشَّوَى (16) تَدْعُو مَنْ أَدْبَرَ وَتَوَلَّى (17) وَجَمَعَ فَأَوْعَى (18) إِنَّ الْإِنْسَانَ خُلِقَ هَلُوعًا (19) إِذَا مَسَّهُ الشَّرُّ جَزُوعًا (20) وَإِذَا مَسَّهُ الْخَيْرُ مَنُوعًا (21) إِلَّا الْمُصَلِّينَ (22) الَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ دَائِمُونَ (23) وَالَّذِينَ فِي أَمْوَالِهِمْ حَقٌّ مَعْلُومٌ (24) لِلسَّائِلِ وَالْمَحْرُومِ (25) وَالَّذِينَ يُصَدِّقُونَ بِيَوْمِ الدِّينِ (26) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ مِنْ عَذَابِ رَبِّهِمْ مُشْفِقُونَ (27) إِنَّ عَذَابَ رَبِّهِمْ غَيْرُ مَأْمُونٍ (28) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِفُرُوجِهِمْ حَافِظُونَ (29) إِلَّا عَلَى أَزْوَاجِهِمْ أَوْ مَا مَلَكَتْ أَيْمَانُهُمْ فَإِنَّهُمْ غَيْرُ مَلُومِينَ (30) فَمَنِ ابْتَغَى وَرَاءَ ذَلِكَ فَأُولَئِكَ هُمُ الْعَادُونَ (31) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ لِأَمَانَاتِهِمْ وَعَهْدِهِمْ رَاعُونَ (32) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ بِشَهَادَاتِهِمْ قَائِمُونَ (33) وَالَّذِينَ هُمْ عَلَى صَلَاتِهِمْ يُحَافِظُونَ (34) أُولَئِكَ فِي جَنَّاتٍ مُكْرَمُونَ (35) فَمَالِ الَّذِينَ كَفَرُوا قِبَلَكَ مُهْطِعِينَ (36) عَنِ الْيَمِينِ وَعَنِ الشِّمَالِ عِزِينَ (37) أَيَطْمَعُ كُلُّ امْرِئٍ مِنْهُمْ أَنْ يُدْخَلَ جَنَّةَ نَعِيمٍ (38) كَلَّا إِنَّا خَلَقْنَاهُمْ مِمَّا يَعْلَمُونَ (39) فَلَا أُقْسِمُ بِرَبِّ الْمَشَارِقِ وَالْمَغَارِبِ إِنَّا لَقَادِرُونَ (40) عَلَى أَنْ نُبَدِّلَ خَيْرًا مِنْهُمْ وَمَا نَحْنُ بِمَسْبُوقِينَ (41) فَذَرْهُمْ يَخُوضُوا وَيَلْعَبُوا حَتَّى يُلَاقُوا يَوْمَهُمُ الَّذِي يُوعَدُونَ (42) يَوْمَ يَخْرُجُونَ مِنَ الْأَجْدَاثِ سِرَاعًا كَأَنَّهُمْ إِلَى نُصُبٍ يُوفِضُونَ (43) خَاشِعَةً أَبْصَارُهُمْ تَرْهَقُهُمْ ذِلَّةٌ ذَلِكَ الْيَوْمُ الَّذِي كَانُوا يُوعَدُونَ (44)

سأل سائل بعذاب واقع (1) للكافرين ليس له دافع (2) من الله ذي المعارج (3) تعرج الملائكة والروح إليه في يوم كان مقداره خمسين ألف سنة (4) فاصبر صبرا جميلا (5) إنهم يرونه بعيدا (6) ونراه قريبا (7) يوم تكون السماء كالمهل (8) وتكون الجبال كالعهن (9) ولا يسأل حميم حميما (10) يبصرونهم يود المجرم لو يفتدي من عذاب يومئذ ببنيه (11) وصاحبته وأخيه (12) وفصيلته التي تؤويه (13) ومن في الأرض جميعا ثم ينجيه (14) كلا إنها لظى (15) نزاعة للشوى (16) تدعو من أدبر وتولى (17) وجمع فأوعى (18) إن الإنسان خلق هلوعا (19) إذا مسه الشر جزوعا (20) وإذا مسه الخير منوعا (21) إلا المصلين (22) الذين هم على صلاتهم دائمون (23) والذين في أموالهم حق معلوم (24) للسائل والمحروم (25) والذين يصدقون بيوم الدين (26) والذين هم من عذاب ربهم مشفقون (27) إن عذاب ربهم غير مأمون (28) والذين هم لفروجهم حافظون (29) إلا على أزواجهم أو ما ملكت أيمانهم فإنهم غير ملومين (30) فمن ابتغى وراء ذلك فأولئك هم العادون (31) والذين هم لأماناتهم وعهدهم راعون (32) والذين هم بشهاداتهم قائمون (33) والذين هم على صلاتهم يحافظون (34) أولئك في جنات مكرمون (35) فمال الذين كفروا قبلك مهطعين (36) عن اليمين وعن الشمال عزين (37) أيطمع كل امرئ منهم أن يدخل جنة نعيم (38) كلا إنا خلقناهم مما يعلمون (39) فلا أقسم برب المشارق والمغارب إنا لقادرون (40) على أن نبدل خيرا منهم وما نحن بمسبوقين (41) فذرهم يخوضوا ويلعبوا حتى يلاقوا يومهم الذي يوعدون (42) يوم يخرجون من الأجداث سراعا كأنهم إلى نصب يوفضون (43) خاشعة أبصارهم ترهقهم ذلة ذلك اليوم الذي كانوا يوعدون (44)

Reading Surah The Elevated Passages in English
In the Name of Allah the Merciful the Most Merciful
[1] A caller supplicated about a punishment to fall on
[2] the unbelievers which none can prevent
[3] (A punishment) from Allah the Owner of the Elevated Passages
[4] To Him the angels and the Spirit (Gabriel) ascend in a day the measure of which is fifty thousand years
[5] Therefore be patient with a beautiful patience;
[6] they see it as being far off;
[7] but We see it near
[8] On that Day the heaven shall become like molten copper
[9] and the mountains shall be like puffs of wool
[10] No loyal friend will ask another loyal friend
[11] though they are in sight of each other To ransom himself from the punishment of that Day the sinner will wish that he might even ransom himself by his sons
[12] his companion (wife) his brother
[13] the kinsmen who gave him shelter
[14] and whosoever is in the earth altogether so that it might save him
[15] No in truth it is a Furnace!
[16] It snatches away by the scalps
[17] and it shall call him who withdrew and turned his back
[18] and amassed (riches) and hoarded
[19] Indeed the human was created grudging and impatient
[20] When evil comes upon him he is impatient;
[21] but when good comes upon him he is grudging
[22] except those that pray
[23] who are constant in prayer;
[24] who from their wealth is a known right
[25] for the impoverished nonrequester and the requester
[26] who confirm the Day of Reckoning
[27] and go in fear of the punishment of their Lord
[28] for none is secure from the punishment of their Lord
[29] who guard their privates
[30] except from their wives and what their right hands own for these they are not blameworthy
[31] But whosoever seeks beyond that they are the transgressors
[32] (Those) who keep their trusts and their covenant
[33] and standby their witnessing
[34] and who are constant in their prayers
[35] Those are highly honored in the Gardens
[36] But what is the matter with the unbelievers that they strain their glances continuously towards them
[37] on the right and on the left in groups?
[38] What is every one of them eager to be admitted to the Garden of Bliss?
[39] Not at all for We have created them of what they know
[40] No I swear by the Lord of the Easts and the Wests that We have the ability
[41] to exchange them with others better than they; nothing can outstrip Us!
[42] So leave them alone to plunge and play until they encounter the Day which they are promised;
[43] the Day when they shall rush from their graves as if they were hurrying to a raised flag
[44] their eyes are humbled and they are covered with humiliation Such is the Day that they were promised
